Chevrolet is already making a lot of news across the globe with their popular electric car Chevrolet Volt for which they received a lot of appreciation as well as car awards. However, they are not stopping the celebrations here because Chevrolet decided to take their next step forward at the 2011 North American International Auto Show by unveiling their 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. The car has been designed for city commute and therefore it is already making news. Sonic is a small car and Chevrolet will be providing it in stylish four door sedan and a sport five door hatchback.

General Motors had a wonderful time in December as their Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Volt won many awards across the globe. However, the celebrations haven’t stopped yet because the year has just started and Chevrolet Volt wins another Electric Car of the Year award this time in China. General Motors in China have always tried to come up with the best cars and Chevrolet Volt certainly is one of the leading cars that will change the General Motors portfolio to some extent. Recently, they have got one more reason to celebrate because the Chevrolet Silverado HD has been awarded the 2011 Motor Trend Truck of the Year award in Philadelphia. Chevrolet has been winning a lot of awards for different cars and trucks that are under its belt and it has also won the 2011 Car of the Year award. The Truck of the Year award was presented to the CEO of General Motors Dan Akerson before the Army-Navy Game at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field because Chevrolet is now the official vehicle at the game.
