There is no doubt that Toyota Prius is one of the best selling cars in the world. Hence, Toyota has now decided to take the Prius competition to the next level by unveiling the new members of the Prius family at the 2011 North American International Auto Show. There are two new Prius cars that Toyota launched today at the show and they are Prius V and Prius C. the Prius V vehicle is going to get a better reception from the people that’s what the critics feel because Prius V is a midsize hybrid vehicle that is designed for active urban family while Prius C is more like an inspiration for Toyota to make such hybrid cars in the future.

An announcement came in from Toyota mentioning that Australia would be participating in the global trial of the plug-in hybrid concept cars which are based on petrol-electric Prius. All the plug-in hybrid vehicles are equipped with lithium-ion batteries and would be shared with the local partners drawn from government & business.

The Australian senior executive sales & marketing for Toyota, David stated that 5 vehicles have been allocated for this local program. He further elaborated saying that the partners would be selected on the basis of their commitments in respect of technology, ability for providing feedback & their geographic area.
