They said that they had been looking at the various hybrid power systems and battery operated vehicles and they have voted for Chevrolet Volt as the best electric vehicle for the consumers. The award ceremony had various media personalities from different parts of China and the world. Chevrolet Volt is the only electric passenger car that can perform well under any given climatic conditions. The car boast of a powerful battery that cannot deplete under normal conditions and therefore passengers are never stranded in isolated places. Chevrolet Volt also has a gasoline power that consumers can use when the battery power is low and together Volt can drive up to 490 kilometers on a full tank.

He has traded his Toyota Prius Hybrid for his new Chevrolet Volt and he was really happy to receive the first mass production electric car in the American history.Kaffee specially returned from his vacation to pick up his new car at the New Jersey plant.As per the General Motors there are around 360 Chevrolet Volt which will now be shipped to the buyers from Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant.Many other Chevrolet Volt cars will also be delivered to the dealers in Washington D.C. area,California and Texas.

The engine has a Voltec propulsion system which can provide the car up to 379 miles of driving without charging.The propulsion system has three main components which are a long life battery,1.4 liter range-extending engine and an electric drive unit to power the wheels.

The long life battery is around 435 pounds (198.1 kgs).The battery supplies power to the electric drive unit which propels the vehicle.Overall,Chevrolet Volt can deliver 35 miles of gas and tailpipe emission free electric drive to the consumers.
