General Motors is really happy to launch their first electric car,Chevrolet Volt which has already won the Car of the Year award.However,they are happier now as they launched their first Chevrolet Volt in the market.On December 15th,2010,Wednesday,Retired Airline pilot,Jeffrey Kaffee became the first customer to receive the Chevrolet Volt in the United States.

General Motors is really having a great December as they are winning many prestigious awards across the globe. Recently, they have got one more reason to celebrate because the Chevrolet Silverado HD has been awarded the 2011 Motor Trend Truck of the Year award in Philadelphia. Chevrolet has been winning a lot of awards for different cars and trucks that are under its belt and it has also won the 2011 Car of the Year award. The Truck of the Year award was presented to the CEO of General Motors Dan Akerson before the Army-Navy Game at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field because Chevrolet is now the official vehicle at the game.
