The purpose of Livestock trailers is a mode of transport for farm animals such as cattle, sheep and horses. There are even specially designed and pig trailers. Different trailers are used for different animals, depending on the size, weight, height and quantity of animals being transported.  Horse trailers in particular are often more elaborate than other trailers due to the size as well as the face that horses are often used for work or for competition and so need to be kept in peak physical condition.

The livestock trailers need to meet with EU regulations as well as animal rights.  EU regulations state that the protection of animals (which came into act on the 5th January 2007 and applied to all those travelling with animals for trade or business) ought to provide sufficient lighting, floor space and height for their animal as well as providing adjustable vents, access to drinking water and adequate suspension in order for the animals to be comfortable during the duration of their journey.

The reliance on finding a good reliable form of Livestock trailers is vital.  For many livestock are their forms of livelihood and thus need to be taken care of and made sure that their journey is a safe one.    These vast lengths that people go to in order to provide safe transportation for their livestock is because for many, these animals are their livelihood and therefore their livestock need to be given the best treatment available.  Farmers are not only taking care of their animals they are taking care of their investment and their money. You should never underinvest in a decent sheep trailer!
